Italian novelist, screenwriter, documentary filmmaker, and radio author. He wrote several novels, including The American, which was a literary case in China before being translated in Russia and Japan, and Le creature, both of which earned him several international literary honors. In 2021, he won a Silver Ribbon nomination for the screenplay of the movie Rosa, Pietra, Stella. He has also written for filmmakers such as Marco Tullio Giordana, Bruno Oliviero, and Nicolangelo Gelormini. He works with a number of Italian publications, including Corriere della Sera, Corriere del Mezzogiorno, and Rai Radio 3, as well as teaching creative writing and screenwriting. Il tempo delle stelle, his most recent novel, was released in 2023.
