Frank Miller
Comic artist, novelist, and movie producer, known for contributing, in the early 1980s, to the Daredevil comic saga, saving it from cancellation. In 1986 he wrote and illustrated Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, revolutionizing the character of the Gotham City vigilante. As an independent comic artist, he created hugely successful series as Sin City, that debuted in 1992, and the graphic-novel 300, published in 1999. As a screenwriter he worked at the scripts of RoboCop 2 and RoboCop 3, and supervised the adaptation of Sin City, that he directed with Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. In 2008 he directed The Spirit, inspired to the classic comic character created in 1940 by Will Eisner. During his career he won six Eisner Awards, four Kirby Awards, three Harvey Awards, and was nominated for a Palm d’Or in Cannes, for the movie Sin City.
