Roberta Lena
Actress and theatre director. From the early Eighties, she worked as a professional experimental theatre actress. In movies, she costarred in Academy Award winning film Nuovo cinema paradiso, by Giuseppe Tornatore, and worked with international renewed directors as Marco Bellocchio, Marco Tullio Giordana, Richard Attenborough, and Paolo Virzì. As director she faced many different theatre expressions: from Commedia dell’Arte to contemporary opera, spoken theatre, and Teatro Danza. She chose to collaborate with contemporary artists, dancers, and musicians, making of multi-disciplinarity and art-mixing the foundation of her expression. She participated in several projects in order to create connections between different realities, implement the intercultural relationship, fight any kind of racism, and help the interreligious and interracial dialogue.
