Paolo Giordano
Italian writer and physic, he won the Strega and Campiello Opera Prima awards in 2008 with his first novel The Solitude of Prime Numbers, adapted for the screen by director Saverio Costanzo and presented at the 67th Mostra del Cinema di Venezia. The novel, translated in over 40, focuses on teenage alienation through the story of two wealthy youth neglected by their families. He contributed to Nuovi Argomenti and Gioia; he writes regularly on the Corriere della Sera. His second novel, The Human Body, was published in 2012, while Like Family and Divorare il cielo came out respectively in 2014 and 2018. In 2020, after commenting the evolution of the pandemic on several columns, he wrote the book How Contagion Works: a thought on how Covid-19 impacted on lives and its times.
