The very young Californian author Emma Cline debuted in 2016, aged 27, with her novel The Girls, received with enthusiastic reviews and shortlisted for the John Leonard Award of the National Book Critics Circle and the Fiction’s First Novel Prize. Her short stories are published on “The New Yorker,” “Tin House,” “Granta” and “The Paris Review.” In 2017 she was named one of Granta's Best Young American Novelists.
