Joshua Ferris

After having studied English Literature and Philosophy at the University of Iowa and the University of California at Irvine, Joshua Ferris published short stories in “The New Yorker”, “Granta”, “Iowa Review”, and “Best New American Voices”. His first novel, Then We Came to The End, translated in 24 languages, was an immediate international bestseller. It won the PEN/Hemingway Award, the Barnes & Noble Discover Award and was a finalist for the National Book Award. The Unnamed, a poetic portrait of a man who abandons all worldly security, just published in Italy simultaneously with the English edition, confirms the innovative and exuberant talent of this young writer, recognized as one of the most promising American storytellers.
